A Brief Biography and Introduction From Andy Sima
“And it’s almost formatted like a blog post, how convenient!”
Hi! My name is Andy Sima, and I write things. I live in the United States of America, usually bouncing around between Minneapolis, Minnesota (my current home) and Chicago, Illinois (where I was born). I have the privilege to hold a Bachelor’s of Arts from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Chamapaign. I graduated in 2021 with a double major in Earth, Society, and Environmental Sustainability, and Creative Writing, with a minor in Geography and Geographic Information Systems. When I’m not writing this blog, I enjoy reading horror novels, writing things other than these articles, playing video games, and exploring the outdoors.
If you’ve found this blog, congratulations! You don’t win a prize or anything, but feel free to poke around whatever I’ve posted here. You’ll get a much better sense of who I am by reading some of these posts that I’ve got thrown all around the place, but if you need something for a professional blurb and can’t get me to write one, for whatever reason, feel free to use the information here. You can also find my social media here. I have both a public-facing Twitter and Instagram.
This particular page is sort of a “living document,” a combination between a CV and a collection of links to things of mine that have been professionally published or that I’m particularly proud of. Right now it’s a bit sparse, but hopefully that will change with time. Most of the things I write for fun are just blog posts on here, which you can get links to at that handy-dandy purple menu right at the top. But this page is also a handy tool for me to keep track of everything I’ve done, where it is, when it was published, and so on and so forth. I’ll update it every so often.
Yes, I know the ads are tacky. I don’t know how to turn them off for static pages, nor do I know how to turn them off on specific posts. It is exceptionally frustrating, but I don’t have the time/mental energy to relearn Google’s adsense API to figure it out. Hopefully they aren’t in the way too much. But they help keep this website running!
